Tue 6 Jan 2004 "Little Pitfall" by Marketa Blahova, at Schetler Studios from 21 Jan 2004 Immigrants Theatre Project / Czech Center of New York presents Little Pitfall by Marketa Blahova, translated by Jiri Topel, from 21 Jan to 8 Feb 2004 at Schetler Studios, Theatre 54 244 W. 54th St. (Off Broadway) It is directed by Marcy Arlin, designed by Heather Dunbar, lighting by Zdenek Kriz, costumes by Carol Brys. The cast includes: Mayura Baweja, Oscar de la Fe Colon, Nannette Deasy, Adriana Gaviria, Eileen Rivera, Tzahi Moskovitz. Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood, Little Pitfall is a dark comedy set in a mythical Czech Forest that is simultaneously about two sisters and their younger selves, their rivalries and jealousies for the love of their father, the sexual favors of a young forest ranger, and theirs for each other. **Marcy Arlin founded Immigrants Theater Project in 1988. The company works with professional theatre artists of over 40 nationalities and ethnic backgrounds to portray the universality of the immigrant experience: themes of adaptation, intergenerational and intercultural relationships, American identity, and the dreams and realities of life in a new and unfamiliar world. ITP has presented over 70 plays.
