Letting Go of God at Ars Nova Theater


Ars Nova presents Letting Go of God, a one-woman show written and performed by Julia Sweeney, at the Ars Nova Theater from 19 - 29 Oct 2006.

Letting Go of God: Chronicles one woman�s unexpected journey when two Mormon missionaries arrive on her doorstep and inadvertently challenge her way of thinking about religion, God, and the nature of self.

Julia Sweeney's other one-woman shows include 'In The Family Way' and 'God Said, Ha!'. Writer, performer, thinker Julia appeared as a 'Saturday Night Live' cast member for four seasons. During that time, she introduced and popularized the gender-neutral character 'Pat.'

Her film credits include 'Pulp Fiction', 'Clockstoppers', 'Stuart Little' and the infamous 'It�S Pat'. Julia appeared in two episodes of the final season of 'Frasier,' starred in and consulted on multiple episodes 'Sex and the City,' and is currently a writer on 'Desperate Housewives'.
