'Lazer Vaudeville' to close on the 21 Aug 2005
Lazer Vaudeville is to close at the Lambs Theatre on the 21 Aug 2005, the show had been booking to the 4 Sep 2005.
Lazer Vaudeville originally opened at John Houseman Theatre (Which is being demolished) on the 9 Mar 2005, where it played to the 14 May 2005. The show then opened at the Lambs Theatre on the 9 Jun 2005.
A web of laser beams and juggling clubs. These performers combine rope-spinning with black light, lasers with the story of vaudeville, and Duncan style choreography with juggling and percussion. Lazer Vaudeville puts a high-tech twist on the arts of juggling, illusion and comedy. Publicity for the show describes it as 'Cirque du Soleil meets Laurel and Hardy. Ringling Brothers meets The Flying Karamazov Brothers. Mummenschanz meets MTV.
Lazer Vaudeville stars bicycle hoop-roller and rope-spinner Carter Brown, international juggling champion Cindy Marvell, and acrobatic box juggler Nicholas Flair.
Lazer Vaudeville has a set design by Maia Robbins-Zust, laser design by Cory Simpson, and costume design by Jennifer Johanos. Jesse Manno is the musical director.
