Krystal Joy Brown joins the cast of Hamilton on Broadway
Brown assumes the role of Eliza Hamilton in the Broadway phenomenon at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
"Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story"? Krystal Joy Brown, that's who! The Broadway alum joins the cast of the smash hit musical Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre tonight, assuming the role of Eliza Hamilton from Denée Benton. The Tony Award nominee played her final performance as Eliza on December 8.
Ms. Brown's previous Broadway credits include Big Fish, Motown The Musical, and Leap of Faith.
The current principal cast of Hamilton includes Austin Scott (as Alexander Hamilton), Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker (as Aaron Burr), Krystal Joy Brown (as Eliza Hamilton), Mandy Gonzalez (as Angelica Schuyler), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (as Marques de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Nicholas Christopher (as George Washington), Anthony Lee Medina (as John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Wallace Smith (as James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), Joanna A. Jones (as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), and Tony Award nominee Euan Morton (as King George).
The Broadway production of Hamilton officially opened on August 6, 2015 to excellent reviews, following previews from July 13.
Hamilton features a book, music, and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow.

Under the direction of Thomas Kail, the creative team features music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.
Hamilton is produced on Broadway by The Public Theater, Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs and Jill Furman.
