Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls begins performances on Broadway

She's back 'For The Girls'... and for all her die-hard fans in the Tri-state area. Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth returns to the Broadway stage tonight to celebrate her new album, For The Girls, and all her favorite female artists. Following the success of 2016's solo concert engagement My Love Letter to Broadway, Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls is scheduled to play an 8-date limited engagement at the Nederlander Theatre through November 17, 2019.

Synopsis: "Kristin Chenoweth brings her powerhouse vocals and her emotionally charged interpretations as she performs a series of classic hits from her new album, For The Girls. This must-see performance acts as her personal tribute to music's most passionate women, who have influenced her into becoming the accomplished Broadway star she is today."

Fans can expect renditions of such classic songs as "When I Fall In Love," "The Man That Got Away," "The Way We Were," "You Don't Own Me," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," and "I Will Always Love You," as the new album pays homage to such celebrated vocalists as Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Dinah Washington, Patsy Kline, Doris Day, Linda Rondstat, Carole King and Dolly Parton.

Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and also features music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

The new album, which dropped on September 27, 2019, also features collaborations with shooting stars of the music industry, including Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson, and music legends such as Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton.

Kristin Chenoweth is a Broadway favorite and a 1999 Tony Award winner for her performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She shot to Broadway superstardom after originating the role of Glinda in the musical phenomenon Wicked, earning a Tony nomination in 2004. Her résumé also includes a 2015 Tony-nominated turn in On the Twentieth Century, a Drama Desk-nominated performance in The Apple Tree, and roles in Promises, PromisesEpic Proportions, and her Broadway debut in Steel Pier. Her screen credits include a 2009 Emmy Award for her role as Olive Snook on "Pushing Daisies," two Emmy Award nominations for her performances as April Rhodes on the hit series "Glee" (in 2010 and 2011), alongside roles in the likes of "Rio 2," "The West Wing," "Bewitched," and NBC's "Hairspray Live!" among others.

Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls Tickets are available now for performances through November 17, 2019.
