The Olivier Award-winning Best New Play King Charles III, written by Mike Bartlett and directed by Rupert Goold, has now announced additional casting.

Joining previously announced Tim Piggott-Smith, who will be reprising his Olivier-nominated leading role performance as King Charles III on the Broadway stage, will be Oliver Chris as William, Richard Goulding as Harry, Adam James as Mr. Evans, Margot Leicester as Camilla, Miles Richardson as James Reiss, Tom Robertson as Couttsey (and other roles), Sally Scott as Sarah (and other roles), Tafline Steen as Jess and Lydia Wilson as Kate.

Creative team members have also been announced: sets and costume design is by Tom Scutt, music compositions by Jocelyn Pook, lighting design by Jon Clark and sound design is by Paul Arditti.

King Charles III begins previews at the Music Box Theatre on 10 October 2015, before an official opening on 1 November 2015.

The Broadway production of King Charles III is produced by Stuart Thompson and Sonia Friedman.

Synopsis: "In this brand new 'future history play', the Queen is dead, and after a lifetime of waiting, the prince ascends the throne. A future of power. But how to rule? This controversial piece of new writing looks at the modern state of the monarchy and the unwritten rules of democracy. Mike Bartlett examines the people underneath the crown and looks into the consciousness of Britain's most famous family."

Members of the Royal Family, including Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, and even Princess Diana are all depicted during the show, along with a fictional Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition.

The West End production opened to excellent reviews at the Wyndham's Theatre in London on 11 September 2014, following previews from 2 September, and is booking through to 31 January 2015. The show transferred to the West End, after a successful off-West End try out at the Almeida Theatre in Spring 2014.

Complete casting and further information will be announced at a later date.
