John C. Reilly and Amy Ryan to join the cast of 'A Streetcar Named Desire'.
John C. Reilly will star as 'Stanley Kowalski' and Amy Ryan will star as 'Stella Kowalski', in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of A Streetcar Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams, which opens on the 26 Apr 2005, at Studio 54, following previews from the 26 Mar.
John C. Reilly and Amy Ryan join the previously announced cast member Natasha Richardson who will play 'Blanche Du Bois'.
A Streetcar Named Desire will be drected by Edward Hall, with sets by Robert Brill, costumes by William Ivey Long, and lighting by Donald Holder. It is being produced on Broadway by the Roundabout Theatre Company in association with Gorgeous Entertainment Inc.
A Streetcar Named Desire is set against the steamy backdrop of New Orleans gritty French Quarter, 'A Streetcar Named Desire is the dramatic story of Blanche Du Bois, a faded Southern belle driven to madness by her animalistic brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski.
