In the Heights at 37 in Arts Theatre

In The Heights, with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, book by Quiara Alegria, is to open at 37 Arts Theatre in Jan 2007.

In The Heights is about two days in the life of Washington Heights, a vibrant immigrant neighborhood at the top of Manhattan. From the vantage point of Usnavi's corner bodega, we experience the joys, heartbreaks and bonds of a Latino community struggling to redefine home.

Directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, In The Heights will feature Lin-Manuel Miranda as Usnavi.

Set design by Anna Louizos, with costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Jason Lyons and sound by Acme Sound Partners.

Further details to be announced.
