In a Dark Dark House, Cast announced!


The cast for the MCC's world premiere presentation of In a Dark Dark House, by Neil LaBute, will feature Ron Livingston, Jason Patric and Louisa Krause.

The play opens at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on 7 Jun 2007, following previews from 16 May and runs through to 23 Jun 2007,

Directed by Carolyn Cantor, In a Dark Dark House tells the story of two brothers who, on the grounds of a private psychiatric facility, find themselves brought face to face with each other's involvement in their traumatic past. In court-ordered rehab, Drew calls on his brother, Terry, to corroborate his story of abuse. Drew's request releases barely-hidden animosities between the two; is he using these repressed memories to save himself while smearing the name of his brother's friend and mentor?

The two siblings must struggle to come to grips with their troubled legacy, both inside and outside their dark family home.

Ron Livingston is making is New York debut, he may be best known as the star of the cult hit Office Space and as Captain Lewis Nixon in HBO's 'Band of Brothers,' for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actor category. Jason Patric played Brick in the 2003 Broadway revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Louisa Krause is making her New York Debut.

Neil LaBute's is a prolific playwright, who's work has been staged on Broadway and London's West End. His many plays include: The Shape of Things, The Distance From Here, and The Mercy Seat.

The play features set design by Beowulf Boritt, with costumes by Jenny Mannis, lighting by Ben Stanton and sound by Rob Kaplowitz.
