If Wishes Were Horses at Altered Stages

Right Down Broadway Productions present If Wishes Were Horses, a comedy by Kari Floren, opening at Altered Stages on 9 Jun 2007, following previews from 7 Jun and running through to 30 Jun 2007.

Directed by Julia Gibson, If Wishes Were Horses is about Doug, a downsized Human Resources exec who needs a job. His wife Karen is a teacher who has been supporting him for a year. With one disappointment after another, Doug begins to unravel after Karen's Father has to move in with them. Using Phil Mickelson's tortured odyssey to the pinnacle of stardom as inspiration, Doug pulls himself up by the bootstraps and starts creating new business opportunities for himselfthat no one supports. If Wishes Were Horses wonders whether these three people can get out of the rough and on with their liveswithout killing each other.
