I Love You Because celebrates 100th performance
The off-Broadway musical I Love You Because, celebrates its 100th performance this evening (13 May 2006).
The musical comedy opened at the Village Theatre on the 14 Feb 2006, following previews from the 19 Jan and is currently booking to the 9 Jul 2006.
I Love You Because is about Austin Bennet, a young greeting card writer whose life is turned upside down when he finds his long-term girlfriend Catherine in bed with another man. Forced back out into the treacherous New York dating scene, Austin meets Marcy Fitzwilliams, a flighty photographer whose spontaneity is matched only by her ability to drive him insane. They are constantly misguided by Austinï¿½s brother Jeff and Marcyï¿½s best friend Diana Bingley. Together, they explore the ï¿½rulesï¿½ and nuances of dating in the big city as they learn how to love someone, not in spite of their differences, but because of them.
