Hugh Dancy and more will join Stockard Channing in Roundabout's Apologia
Apologia begins performances at off-Broadway's Laura Pels Theatre on September 27, 2018.
Roundabout Theatre Company has announced complete casting to join previously announced Tony & Emmy Award winner Stockard Channing in the New York premiere of Alexi Kaye Campbell's Apologia, directed by three-time Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin, which begins previews at the Laura Pels Theatre within the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre on September 27, 2018, ahead of an official opening on October 16 and a limited run through to December 16, 2018.
Joining Ms. Channing (as Kristin Miller) will be Emmy Award nominee Hugh Dancy (as Peter and Simon), Megalyn Echikunwoke (as Claire), Talene Monahon (as Trudi), and Tony Award nominee John Tillinger (as Hugh).
Hugh Dancy is perhaps best known for his TV role as Will Graham on the hit NBC series "Hannibal" and he earned an Emmy Award nomination in 2006 for his portrayal of the Earl of Essex in "Elizabeth I". He previously made his Broadway debut in the 2007 revival of Journey's End and received a Drama Desk nomination for Venus in Fur in 2012.
Megalyn Echikunwoke is perhpas best known for her appearances on TV series such as "House of Lies," "90210," "24," and "That '70s Show," and in films such as "Damsels in Distress," "Chips," "The Meddler," and "A Good Day to Die Hard".
Talene Monahon's previous off-Broadway credits include "Bobbie Clearly" for Roundabout Theatre Company, "Log Cabin" for Playwrights Horizons, "The Government Inspector" for Red Bull Theater, "Tell Hector I Miss Him" for Atlantic Theater Company, and "Permission" for MCC Theater.
John Tillinger is a veteran stage actor and director, who has helmed over thirty off-Broadway productions and 17 Broadway productions, earning a Tony Award nomination in 1986 for Loot. As an actor his credits include Joe Egg, The Changing Room, Hay Fever, Othello, Halfway Up the Tree, and How's the World Treating You?

The creative team behind Apologia features scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Bradley King, original compositions & sound design by Ryan Rumery, and dialect coaching by Ben Furey.
Stockard Channing is a veteran of the New York stage, whose accomplishments include a 1985 Tony Award in the category of "Best Actress in a Play" for Joe Egg, and six further Tony Award nominations - Other Desert Cities in 2012, Pal Joey in 2009, The Lion in Winter in 1999, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun in 1992, Six Degrees of Separation in 1991, and The House of Blue Leaves in 1986. Other Broadway credits include It's Only a Play, The Little Foxes, Love Letters, They're Playing Our Song and The Rink. She has also enjoyed a hugely successful career on screen, including an Oscar-nominated turn in the 1993 film adaptation of Six Degrees of Separation, Emmy Award wins for "The West Wing" and "The Matthew Shepard Story", and notable roles in "The Good Wife," "Out of Practice," "Where the Heart Is," "Practical Magic," "The Baby Dance," and as Rizzo in "Grease".
Apologia Tickets are available now for performances from September 27 through to December 16, 2018.
