Helder Guimarães' Verso to close at New World Stages
Acclaimed magician Helder Guimarães has now been enlisted as magic consultant for a new feature film to be released in 2018. Consequently, the limited engagement of the U.S. premiere of his latest show Verso: Truth In Deception has been forced to shorten its run. Directed by Rodrigo Santos, previews began on 19 September 2016 at New World Stages, before an official opening on 28 September and a scheduled limited engagement through to 15 January 2017. The final performance will now take place on 27 November 2016.
Synopsis: "Intimate and enigmatic, witty and unorthodox, Verso is Helder Guimarães' most daunting journey into the impossible yet. Bear witness as he pushes the very limits of magic, and challenges just how much you're willing to accept what your eyes assume to be true."
The creative team features creative direction by Catarina Marques, creative consulting by Kelly Devine, music by Pedro Marques, and lighting design by Pedro Vieira de Carvalho.
