Grasses of a Thousand Colors extends by 1 week

The Public Theater and Theater for a New Audience have extended their production of Wallace Shawn's Grasses of a Thousand Colors by one weeks. The show will now run through to 01 Dec 2013.

Grasses of a Thousand Colors opened at the Public 's Shiva Theater on 28 Oct 2013, following previews from 07 Oct 2013, and was originally scheduled to close on 24 Nov 2013.

Grasses of a Thousand Colors touches on almost every imaginable form of sexual expression while spinning a dystopian fantasy about ecological disaster. Ben, the play's central character, is a doctor who believes he has solved world hunger when he figures out how to rejigger the metabolisms of animals to tolerate eating their own kind. He ends up ruining the global ecosystem.

Directed by Andre Gregory, the cast of Grasses of a Thousand Colors stars Julie Hagerty (Cerise), Emily Cass McDonnell (Rose), Wallace Shawn (Ben) and Jennifer Tilly (Robin).
