Full casting for By The Water World Premiere announced

Manhattan Theatre Club in association with Ars Nova will has now announced full casting for the world premiere of Sharyn Rothstein's new play By The Water, directed by Hal Brooks, opening at New York City Center, The Studio at Stage II on 18 November 2014, following previews from 4 November, and booking through to 7 December 2014.

The cast of By The Water includes Cassie Beck (Emily Mancini), Quincy Dunn-Baker (Sal Murphy), Charlotte Maier (Andrea Carter), Deirdre O'Connell (Mary Murphy), Tom Pelphrey (Brian Murphy), Ethan Phillips (Philip Carter), and Vyto Ruginis (Marty Murphy).

Synposis: 'Hurricane Sandy has just ravaged the lifelong home of Marty and Mary Murphy. But the storm has ripped apart more than just the walls: with their neighbors too devastated to stay, the couple's beloved Staten Island community is in danger of disappearing forever. Determined to rebuild, Marty wages a campaign to save his neighborhood and his home, but when the Murphys' sons arrive to help their parents dig out, past betrayals come rushing to the surface.'

The creative team behind By The Water has also been announced and will feature scenic design by Wilson Chin, costumes by Jessica Pabst, lighting by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Ryan Rumery.

By The Water marks the first production from The Writer's Room, the Manhattan Theatre Club and Ars Vova Commissioning Patnership. The play is being staged as part of the The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series.
