Full cast announced for revival of The Little Foxes

The Manhattan Theatre Club have announced full casting for their new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan which begins previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on 29 March 2017, before an official opening on 19 April.

Joining the previously announced Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon who will alternate in the roles of Regina Hubbard Giddens and Birdie Hubbard will be Darren Goldstein, Michael McKean, Richard Thomas, David Alford, Michael Benz, Caroline Stefanie Clay, Lyla Porter-Follows, and Charles Turner.

Synopsis: "Set in Alabama in 1900, The Little Foxes follows Regina Giddens and her ruthless clan, including her sister-in-law Birdie, as they clash in often brutal ways in an effort to strike the deal of their lives. Far from a sentimental look at a bygone era, the play has a surprisingly timely resonance with important issues facing our country today."

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), Fitz Patton (sound design), Tom Watson (hair and wig design), Tommy Kurzman (make-up design), Thomas Schall (fight director) and Deborah Hecht (dialect coach).

Both Linney and Nixon will play the roles in repertory, appearing opposite each other at each performance. The exact schedule of which actress will play Regina and which will play Birdie at each performance will be announced shortly.
