Fuerzabruta extends its run through at the Daryl Roth Theatre through to 29 Jun

The creators of De La Guarda have announced that their new creation Fuerzabruta, a theatrical event of special effects, will extend its run at the Daryl Roth Theatre through to 29 Jun 2008.

The show opened at the Daryl Roth Theatre on 24 Oct 2007, following previews from 11 Oct, for a run that was originally scheduled to close on 18 Feb 2008.

Fuerzabruta is desribed as "an event where worlds collide, dreams are real and reality takes a back seat. Set in vigorous motion, the visuals include a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail and performers frolic and interact in a watery world suspended just above the audience. The action is set to a dynamic soundtrack that spans percussive beats, engaging melodies and hypnotic ambient music."

Fuerzabruta premiered in Buenos Aires in 2005 and has been seen in Lisbon (2006), London (2006), Buenos Aires (2006), Bogota (2007) and will appear at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, followed by engagements in Berlin and Hamburg.

The show De La Guarda ran at the Daryl Roth Theatre from 16 Jun 1998 - 12 Sep 2004 and played 2,475 performances.
