Fuerza Bruta extends run by eight weeks

The theatrical entertainment show Fuerza Bruta: Look Up, which recently announced it would end its five year run at the Daryl Roth Theatre on 11 Nov 2012, has extended its run by eight weeks, and will now close on 6 Jan 2013.

Stephen Shaw, the show's executive producer, said "The incredible increase at the box office since announcing our closing has given us the confidence to run through the holiday season and continue to give fans of Fuerza Bruta the opportunity to experience our show. New York has spoken and it feels amazing." Fuerza Bruta: Look Up opened at the Daryl Roth Theatre on 24 Oct 2007, following previews from 11 Oct for what was originally scheduled to be an 18 week run.

Fuerza Bruta: Look Up is described by the producers as "an event where worlds collide, dreams are real and reality takes a back seat. Set in vigorous motion, the visuals include a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail and performers frolic and interact in a watery world suspended just above the audience. The action is set to a dynamic soundtrack that spans percussive beats, engaging melodies and hypnotic ambient music."

The show, produced by S2BN Entertainment, features Alvaro Colom, Daniel Case, Katie Dangerkat, Dusty Giamanco, Christina Glur, Khadija Griffith, John Hartzell, Ben Hobbs, Michelle Jongenel, Angelica Kushi, Liam Lane, Gwen Larson, Tamara Levinson, Brooke Mayaski, Jennifer Mote, Jessica Osborne, Andy Pelleck, Nelson Rockwood, Holly Shunkey and Dario Vaccaro.

Fuerza Bruta: Look Up premiered in Buenos Aires in 2005. The show has been performed in Cordoba, Bogota, Queretaro, Miami, Chicago, Lisbon, Bilbao, Berlin, Moscow, London, Edinburgh, Antwerp and Madrid.
