Fahrenheit 451 at 59E59's Theater B

Godlight Theatre Company presents Fahrenheit 451, a play by Ray Bradbury based on the novel of the same name, at 59E59's Theater B from the 11 - 23 Jul 2006.

Fahrenheit 451 played at 59E59's Theater C earlier this year, and has now been re-imagined and specifically designed in preparation for the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Fahrenheit 451: The system was simple. Everyone understood it. Books were for burning along with the houses in which they were hidden. Guy Montag was a young fireman whose job it was to start fires. And he enjoyed his job. He had been a fireman for ten years, and he had never questioned the pleasure of the midnight runs nor the joy of watching pages consumed by flames...never questioned anything until he met a seventeen-year-old girl who told him of a past when people were not afraid. Then Guy met a professor who told him of a future in which people could think. And Guy Montag suddenly realized what he had to do....

Fahrenheit 451' cast, directed by Joe Tantalo, features: Ken King, Gregory Konow, Kristen Harlow, Gracy Brown, Cyrus Roxas, Mike Roche, Sam Whitten, David Bartlett, Katherine Boynton, Mike Tranzilli and Tara Brown.

The production has lighting by Maruti Evans, choreography by Hachi Yu, and sound by Andrew Recinos.
