Grab your friends! Jessica Vosk and Kelli Barrett will lead a new musical adaptation of Beaches on Broadway this spring, playing a limited run at the Majestic Theatre from March 27 to September 6. Opening night is April 22.

Beaches follows two friends — the wild, outgoing Cee Cee (Vosk) and pretty, privileged Bertie (Barrett) — over 30 years as their bond grows and changes. Since meeting as kids, the women become pen pals, romantic rivals, and roommates at various points in their lives, but their friendship survives even the toughest tests.

The story debuted in 1985 as a bestselling book by Iris Rainer Dart, and it was adapted into a 1988 film starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey and featuring the Grammy-winning song "Wind Beneath My Wings." The musical adaptation premiered in 2024 at the Theatre Calgary in Alberta, Canada, featuring music by Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Mike Stoller, lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart, and a book by Dart and Thom Thomas, developed in collaboration with David Austin.

The Canadian premiere also starred Vosk (Hell’s Kitchen, Wicked on Broadway) and Barrett (FX’s Fosse/Verdon), and additional Broadway casting has yet to be announced. Emmy winner and Tony nominee Lonny Price returns to direct Beaches on Broadway alongside co-director Matt Cowart and choreographer Jennifer Rias.

Beaches on Broadway also features orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, scenic design by James Noone, costume design by Tracy Christensen, lighting design by Ken Billington, sound design by Kai Harada, projection design by David Bengali, and wig, hair, and makeup design by J. Jared Janas.
