Second Stage Theater has set initial casting for Becky Shaw on Broadway, starting performances at the Hayes Theater on March 18 ahead of an April 6 opening.
The Becky Shaw Broadway cast includes Patrick Ball (The Pitt) as Andrew, Alden Ehrenreich (Weapons) as Max, and three-time Tony Award nominee Linda Emond (Life x 3, Death of a Salesman, Cabaret) as Susan. Casting for the roles of Suzanna and Becky have yet to be announced.
Gina Gionfriddo's Becky Shaw is a dark comedy about a blind date that goes wildly off the rails. Second Stage presented the play's world premiere from 2008-09, and it became a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2009. The 2026 production marks Becky Shaw's Broadway debut under the direction of Trip Cullman.
Becky Shaw also features scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by Kaye Voyce, and lighting design by Stacey Derosier. Additional creative team members have yet to be announced.
