The Play That Goes Wrong Information
The Play That Goes Wrong will reopen at New World Stages in October. The Play That Goes Wrong tickets will be on sale soon.
The Olivier Award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is a raucous affair on stage and a real-life, rags-to-riches tale offstage. Created by a group of LAMDA graduates who formed a troupe by the name of Mischief Theatre, The Play That Goes Wrong began its life on the London fringe with only four paying patrons, and then... did absolutely everything right.
The comedy evolved itself into a West End production that would ultimately win an Olivier Award in 2015. A Broadway transfer was granted to the original London stars, which officially opened at the Lyceum Theatre on April 2, 2017, following previews from March 9. The Broadway production enjoyed a lengthy run and finally played its closing performance on January 6, 2019.
The mishaps are set to continue, however, as The Play That Goes Wrong moves off-Broadway to New World Stages, delighting audiences with its signature brand of physical comedy from February 11, 2019.
The cast prior to theatres closing in March 2020 included Jesse Aaronson (as Max), Brent Bateman (as Robert), Bartley Booz (as Dennis), Jason Bowen (as Trevor), Max FitzRoy-Stone (as Jonathan), Matt Harrington (as Chris), Bianca Horn (as Annie), and Maggie Weston (as Sandra).

The Play That Goes Wrong is a riotous comedy about the theatre. The play introduces The "Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society" who are attempting to put on a 1920s' murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong…does, as the accident prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.
