Ernest Shackleton Loves Me to play Tony Kiser Theatre

Q Theatricals presents new musical Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, directed by Lisa Peterson, at the Tony Kiser Theatre from April 14 to June 11, 2017, with an official opening scheduled for May 7.

Ernest Shackleton Loves Me features a book by Tony winner Joe DiPietro, with music by Brendan Milburn and lyrics by Valerie Vigoda.

Synopsis: "This innovative, high-tech adventure tells the story of a sleep-deprived single mom who struggles to work as a video game music composer. Unexpectedly, she is contacted across time by the famous polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton. Inspired by her music, he shares his epic Antarctic journey with her in video and song.  Against all odds, they discover that their greatest inspiration lies within each other."

The cast of Ernest Shackleton Loves Me includes Valerie Vigoda - electo-violinist of GrooveLily - and Broadway alum Wade McCollum.

The creative team behind Ernest Shackleton Loves Me features musical direction by Ryan O'Connell, scenic design by Alexander V. Nichols, costume design by Chelsea Cook, and sound design by Rob Kaplowitz.

Originally co-commissioned by Theatre Works and La Jolla Playhouse, the musical has already played limited engagements in Seattle, New Jersey and Boston.
