Elizabeth Rex at the Spoon Theater

Nicu's Spoon presents Elizabeth Rex, by Timothy Findley, opening at the Spoon Theater on 4 Apr 2008, following previews from 2 Apr and running through to 19 Apr 2008.

Elizabeth Rex: On the eve prior to the dawn execution of Robert, Earl of Essex, for treason, Shakespeare and his company of actors are at court. Under curfew in a barn, with the Queen, through her restless night as she struggles with the decision she has made to behead her beloved "Robin".

Directed by Joanne Zipay, Elizabeth Rex features Merle Louis, Bill Galarno and Oliver Conant.

The creative team comprises John Trevellini (sets), Rien Schlecht (costumes), Steven Wolf (lighting) and Damon Law (sound).
