Dying City at Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater

Lincoln Center Theater (LCT) presents Dying City, by Christopher Shinn, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, opening on 4 Mar 2007, following previews from 15 Feb, and running through to 29 Apr 2007.

Dying City tells the story of Kelly, a young therapist whose husband dies while on military duty in Iraq. A year later, her husband's identical twin brother arrives unexpectedly at Kelly's door, seeking solace - and answers to the mystery of his brother's death.

Dying City stars Rebecca Brooksher and Pablo Schreiber.

Dying City had its world premiere in Spring 2006 at London's Royal Court Theatre. The Times of London review called it "austere and meticulous... a demanding work but equally rewarding." And Variety described it as an "achingly compassionate new play" by a "gifted" dramatist.

James Macdonald, who directed the London production, will also direct the play's American premiere.

Pablo Schreiber received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in LCT's Tony Award winning production of Awake and Sing! last season. Rebecca Brooksher is making her LCT and off-Broadway debut.

Set and costume design by Anthony Ward, with lighting by Pat Collins and sound by Guy Sherman
