The Wings Theatre presents Dimaggio-The Man Behind the Myth, book, score and lyrics by Robert Mitchell, opening at the Wings Theatre on 3 Dec 2007, following previews from 29 Nov and running through to 22 Dec 2007.

Dimaggio-The Man Behind the Myth: The story focuses on the simple irony that, for all his fame, wealth and glory, Joe DiMaggio was incapable of enjoying the extraordinary life before him. At the height of his popularity, he was one of the most famous men in America - the toast of Broadway, rivalling Sinatra, Winchell, Dempsey and Hemingway. He was coddled by mobsters and Presidents alike - and then, of course, there was Marilyn...

Directed and choreographed by Don Johanson, Dimaggio-The Man Behind the Myth features John Moss, Stephanie Martinez, Peter Carrier, Matthew Naclerio, Alissa Alter, Andrew Claus, Anna Hanson and Joe Cummings.

The creative team features Eric Larson (sets & lighting) and Marietta Clark (costumes).
