Die Mommie Die! to close on 13 Jan 2008


The dak comedy, Die Mommie Die! has posted early closing notices, playing its final performance on 13 Jan 2008. When the show closes it will played 12 previews and 97 regular performances

Die Mommie Die!, written by, and starring Charles Busch, opened at New World Stages / Stage 1 on 10 Oct 2007, following previews from 21 Oct 2007, for a 20 week limited engagement that was originally scheduled to end on 17 Feb 2008.

Die Mommie Die!: Angela Arden, a fallen pop diva is trapped in a hateful marriage to film producer Sol Sussman. Desperate to find happiness with her younger lover, an out-of-work TV actor named Tony Parker, Angela gruesomely murders her husband with the aid of a poisoned suppository. Angela�s manipulative daughter, Edith, convinces her 'emotionally disturbed' brother, Lance, that together they must avenge their father�s death � by killing their mother!

Directed by Carl Andress, Die Mommie Die! also features Bob Ari, Van Hansis, Chris Hoch, Ashley Morris and Kristine Nielson.

The design team comprises of Michael Anania (sets), Jessica Jahn (costumes) and Ben Stanton (lighting). Charles Busch's costumes are designed and created by Michael Bottari and Ronald Case.
