'Dedication or The Stuff Of Dreams,' Alison Fraser replaces Patricia Kalember

Primary Stages has announced that Alison Fraser has replaced Patricia Kalember in Terrence McNally's new play, Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, the first production of their 2005-2006 season. The play opens at 59E59's Theater A on the 18 Aug 2005, following previews from the 26 Jul. This is a limited engagement through to the 18 Sep 2005.

Alison Fraser made her first appearance on Broadway in 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood,' and earned two Tony nominations for her appearance as 'Josefine Weninger' in 'Romance/Romance' which opened at Helen Hayes on the 1 May 1988 and as Marsha in 'The Secret Garden' which opened at St James on the 25 Apr 1991. Her last appearance on Broadway was as 'Dorine' in Tartuffe which opened at the Circle in the Square on the 30 May 1996. Off-Broadway credits include 'Trina' in the musical 'The March of the Falsettos'.

Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams concerns a life-changing encounter between Lou and Jessie Nuncle, the producers of a struggling children�s theatre, and Annabelle Willard, the owner of an abandoned grand theatre the Nuncle�s covet.

This is the newest play from the Tony Award-winning author of 'The Stendhal Syndrome' (which received its world premiere at Primary Stages), 'Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune,' 'Master Class,' 'Love! Valour! Compassion!,' 'Lips Together, Teeth Apart' and 'The Lisbon Traviata'

Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams has scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Laura Crow, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound by Lindsay Jones. The Production Stage Manager is Emily N. Wells.
