Days and Nights at Lafayette Street Theatre

Purple Man Theater Company presents Days and Nights: page 121, lines 11 and 12, adapted by Marc Stuart Weit from Chekhov's Seagull and Anne Frank's diary, at the Lafayette Street Theatre from 10 - 24 Aug 2007, as part of FringeNYC.

Days and Nights: The audience observes several days and nights in the life of Anne Frank and her family as described in Anne's diary, but the characters only speak lines from Chekhov's masterpiece, 'The Seagull.'

The title of Days and Nights: page 121, lines 11 and 12 refers to a book written by Trigorin in 'The Seagull,' which the love struck Nina quotes back to him: 'If ever you should need my life, come and take it.'

Directed by Marc Stuart Weitz, Days and Nights: page 121, lines 11 and 12 features Philippe Bowgen, Erin Gorski, Catherine Gowl, Carrie Heitman, Charlie Hensley, Raymond James Hill, Jessica Ray and David Douglas Smith.

Set design by Alexis Distler, with costumes by Elizabeth B. Carlin, lighting by Seth Reiser and sound by Daryl Bornstein.
