David Grieg's The Events - New York Theatre Workshop

The New York Theatre Workshop have announced that the Actors Touring Company production of David Grieg's drama The Events will run at their off-Broadway venue for a limited period from 4 February 2015 to 22 March 2015, with an official opening on 12 February 2015.

The production was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2013, and has since been touring the UK along with a brief spell in London. The show comes to New York for a strictly limited engagement.

Directed by Ramin Gray, the cast includes Neve McIntosh and Clifford Samuel. The drama features original music by John Browne, design by Chloe Lamford, lighting design by Charles Balfour, sound design by Alex Caplen, music direction by Magnus Gilljam and music supervision by David Dabbon.

The Events follows a community's search for compassion, peace and understanding in the wake of unthinkable violence. Delving into faith, politics and reason, the piece also features a soundscape and a different community choir at each performance, drawn from diverse communities throughout the tri-state area.

Single tickets as well as membership packages are now on general sale.

New York Theatre Workshop, now in its 31st season, continues to honour its mission to explore perspectives on our collective history and respond to the events and institutions that shape all our lives.
