CQ/CX extends by one week, now playing to 11 Mar 2012



Atlantic Theater Company's world premiere production of Gabe McKinley's CQ/CX, currently in previews, has extended its run by one week and will now play through to 11 Mar 2012.

CQ/CX began previews at the at the Peter Norton Space on 25 Jan 2012, where it opens on 15 Feb 2012. The show was originally scheduled to close on 4 Mar 2012.

In CQ/CX, Jay, an up and coming black reporter at The New York Times, finds his dreams of becoming a famous journalist come crashing down as he becomes the center of a plagiarism scandal. Drawing on his own experience as a newsman, McKinley weaves a story about the collateral damage of unchecked ambition and compounded lies.

Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux the cast features Larry Bryggman, Peter Jay Fernandez, Tim Hopper, Arliss Howard, Kobi Libii, David Pittu, Steve Rosen and Sheila Tapia.

The design team for CQ/CX features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Jess Goldstein, lighting design by Ben Stanton, original music and sound design by David Van Tieghem and projection design by Peter Nigrini and C. Andrew Bauer.
