Coronado at ManhattanTheatreSource

The Invisible City Theatre Company presents Coronado, by Dennis Lehane, opening at ManhattanTheatreSource on the 3 Dec 2005, following previews from the 30 Nov and running through to the 17 Dec 2005.

Coronado is a new thriller that depicts the crimes committed in the name of love. In a nameless bar somewhere in rural America, a young couple falls hopelessly in love, a psychiatric patient confronts her demons, and a father-and-son search for a missing woman - and a stolen diamond.

Based on his short story "Until Gwen," Coronado is Dennis Lehane's first piece written expressly for the stage. Originally published in the Atlantic Monthly, "Until Gwen" will also appear in Best American Short Stories 2005 and Best Mystery Short Stories 2005, the first time a story has been selected for both collections in the same year.

The cast for Coronado, directed by David Epstein, features Maggie Bell, Dan Patrick Brady, Avery Clark, Elizabeth Horn, Gerry Lehane, Jason MacDonald, Rebecca Miller, Lance Rubin and Kathleen Wallace.

Coronado has set design by Michael Carnahan, costumes by Michael Bevins and lighting by Driscoll A. Otto.
