Colin Quinn to perform new comedy at the Minetta Lane Theatre

Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State begins performances off-Broadway on January 5, 2019.

Colin Quinn will perform his new comedy, Colin Quinn: Red State Blue State at off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre, it has been announced.

Written by and starring Quinn, the show is set to give a comedic insight into current political debates.

Red State Blue State marks the Brooklyn-born comedian's sixth one-man show in a New York theatre. Making his Broadway debut in 1998 with Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake, he has performed five one-man shows on topics including the economy, the United States Constitution and race relations between communities.

His 2010 production titled Colin Quinn: Long Story Short was nominated for two awards, including best theatrical experience at the off-Broadway Alliance Awards, as well as outstanding solo performance at the Drama Desk Awards.

The show will begin previews on January 5, 2019, before an official opening on January 22, 2019. The show will then run for a limited engagement through to March 3, 2019, and is set to be recorded as an audio play, courtesy of Audible.
