Cleansed will have a workshop at Walkerspace from 7 - 9 Jul 2006


Eliza Day Hittman will present a workshop production of Cleansed, by Thomas Bradshaw, at Walkerspace from the 7 - 9 Jul 2006.

Cleansed is disturbing story about a biracial girl named Lauraul who is tired of being picked on for being the only black person at her high school in Southern Indiana. Despite her father's attempts to move the family to liberal New Jersey, Lauraul's mother objects because her father is dying. However, Grandpa does not die and they never move. Lauraul finds the perfect remedy for her social isolation, she joins a gang of teenage white supremacist.

Directed by Eliza Day Hittman, Cleansed features Kaaron Briscoe, Albert Christmas, Nancy Franklin, Aimee McCormick, Bobby Monero, and Di Quon.

Set and lighting design is by Ben Kato.
