Classic Stage Company announces cast of The Liar
Classic Stage Company has now announced the complete cast of David Ives' farcical comedy The Liar, based on the play 'Le Menteur' by Pierre Corneille.
Directed by Michael Kahn, the cast of The Liar includes (in alphabetical order) Christian Conn, Aubrey Deeker, Carson Elrod, Kelly Hutchinson, Adam Lefevre, Ismenia Mendes, Amelia Pedlow and Tony Roach.
Synopsis: "The farce follows the charming Dorante who cannot tell the truth and the manservant Clinton who cannot tell a lie."
The creative team has also been announced and features original music by Adam Wernick, scenic design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Murell Horton, lighting design by Mary Louise Geiger, and sound design by Matt Stine.
John Doyle's debut season as Artistic Director will conclude with his helming of a revival of Pacific Overtures, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by John Weidman, starring George Takei.
