Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy plays final performance on Broadway

The theatrical, acrobatic and musical show, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, plays its final performance on Broadway on 24 Aug 2008. When the show closes it will have played 10 previews and 70 regular performances.

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy opened at the Broadway Theatre on 26 Jun 2008, following previews from 16 Jun.

The show opened to mixed reviews: "A stunts-and-spandex spectacular." (NY Times); "A 'Fantasy' worth indulging" (NY Daily News); "Tends to be a yawner -- if not a total snoozer." (Star-Ledger).

Created and directed by Neil Goldberg, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is an exotic encounter inspired by natures unpredictable creations that are brought to life by an international cast of 25 soaring aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians.

The feats performed in Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy are enhanced with over 150 spectacular costumes and set in a jungle ignited by visual effects, from the aerial ballet of butterflies to the balancing giraffes, gigantic flowers and trees.

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is the latest brainchild of Neil Goldbergs Cirque Productions, creators of international performance and touring shows 'Cirque Ingenieux,' 'Cirque Dreams Coobrila' and 'Cirque Dreams Illumination.'

Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy remains true to my original CIRQUE DREAMS vision which began with the company in 1993 - to blend European artistry with circus and Broadway theatrics in a dramatic fashion that transcends imagination and leaves its narration to the eyes of the beholder, says Goldberg.
