Casting announced for Before Your Very Eyes
The off-Broadway non-profit Public Theater has announced complete casting for its upcoming US premiere of the Gob Squad's Before Your Very Eyes, which begins previews on 17 October 2015, before an official opening on 26 October and a limited engagement through to 29 November 2015.
The cast of Before Your Very Eyes includes Mikai Anthony, Charlotte Beede, Rose Bell-McKinley, Eloise Celine, Meghan Chang, Margalit Duclayan, Keanu Jacobs, Simone Mindolovich, Jasper Newell, Elijah Pluchino, Maeve Press, Matthew Quirk, Miles Sherr-Garcia, and Aja Nicole Webber.
Synopsis: "From behind the safety of one-way mirrors, the audience witnesses seven lives lived in fast forward, from angst-ridden teens to hunched geriatrics. As we adults try to stop the process of aging and preserve youth as long as we can, the children peer into the future and nostalgically back at their recent past, as they prepare to leave childhood behind forever."
The Gob Squad, a UK and Berlin-based Theatre Collective, played their last show at The Public Theater as part of the Under the Radar Festival to great success. This new show was created over the course of the past two years with 9-14 year olds from around New York City. It features video system design by Gob Squad and Shawn Duan and performance coaching by Bridget Kelso.
Before Your Very Eyes held its world premiere in Belgium in 2012.
