Cast announced for And I And Silence
Signature Theatre have announced the casting for the US premiere of And I And Silence, which is featured in their upcoming 2014-2015 Season at the Romulus Linney Courtyard. The drama, written by Naomi Wallace and directed by Caitlin McLeod, will open on 25 Aug 2014, following previews from 5 Aug 2014, closing on 14 Sep 2014.
The cast includes Trae Harris (Young Jamie), Rachel Nicks (Jamie), Emily Skeggs (Young Dee), Samantha Soule (Dee).
Synopsis: 'Two imprisoned teenagers, one black, one white, form a perilous bond. As the young women serve time, they forge a plan for survival. When the outside world proves even more dangerous than the jail itself, their private world becomes an untenable practice ground for their new lives. And I And Silence explores the fierce dreams of youth and the brutal reality of adulthood in 1950's America.'
The creative team behind And I And Silence includes Rachel Hauck for scenic design, Bradley King for lighting, Clint Ramos for costume design and Elisheba Ittoop for sound.
