Caravaggio Chiaroscuro at La MaMa's

Pioneers go East Theatre Co presents Caravaggio Chiaroscuro, Written and conceived by Gian Marco Lo Forte, composed by Duane Boutte, at La MaMa's Experimental Theatre from 27 Sep - 14 Oct 2007.

Caravaggio Chiaroscuro: Experimental opera about Caravaggio's Roman life and struggles as a young artist. Heartbreaking story offers a redemptive portrayal of the power of art.

Directed by George Drance, Caravaggio Chiaroscuro features Duane Boutte (Caravaggio), Dana Cote, Sara Galassini, Silvia Giampaola, Jeffrey Glaser, Erika Iverson, Ralph Martin, Elizabeth Mutton, Matt Nasser, Graham Skipper and Kat Yew.

The design team comprises Gian Marco Lo Forte (sets), Denise Greber (costumes) and Federico Restrepo (lighting) and David Stollings (sound).
