Burleigh Grimes announces full cast

James Badge Dale (24), Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me), Mark Moses (Desperate Housewives) and Ashley Williams (Huff, Good Morning Miami) will star in the U.S. premiere of Burleigh Grimes, a new comedy by Roger Kirby.

The comedy, directed by David Warren, opens at New World Stages/Stage 3 (formerly Dodger Stages) on the 13 Jun 2006, following previews from the 23 May and running through to the 3 Sep 2006.

Burleigh Grimes is set in a world where no bad deed goes unrewarded. The comedy follows George Radbourn (James Badge Dale), a Wall Street newbie who doesnt recognize that his mentor, Burleigh Grimes (Mark Moses), may not be entirely sincere in appearance or agenda. A hard-driving stock market force, Grimes is a relentless man of infinite calculation, further assisted in his financial schemes by media powerhouse Elizabeth Bigley (Wendie Malick).

In an arena where the naive and sentimental face ruin, George struggles for survival under the hand of Grimes flexible business tactics, while also dealing with the arrival of his college sweetheart, Grace Redding (Ashley Williams), who will soon have to face some difficult choices of her own.

Burleigh Grimes also stars Nancy Anderson, as Burleighs Wife, Jason Antoon as Hap and John Lavelle as Buck.

The comedy has set design by Jim Youmans, costume design by Gregory Gale, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Peter Fitzgerald and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler.

The New York premiere of Burleigh Grimes is presented by Lewis Productions.
