After the success of this year's inaugural event, despite the extreme weather conditions in late January, BroadwayCon will return in 2017 and tickets go on sale today. This year's 5,000 tickets were all snapped up by theatre-lovers around the world, however, promoters have moved the event into a bigger venue for next year, capable of housing more than 15,000 fans. BroadwayCon 2017 will take place from 27 to 29 January 2017 at New York's Javits Center.

Organizer Melissa Anelli, co-executive director of Mischief Management, LLC. commented:

"Response to the first installment of BroadwayCon was beyond anything we could have ever expected and moving to the Javits Center will enable us to accommodate a lot more people as well as have space for additional programming and events. We are fortunate that BroadwayCon has been embraced by the entire Broadway community and are working to create an event that is exciting, compelling and meaningful."
