Big Shoot at The Culture Project

RPN Globe LLC and The Culture Project presents the U.S. premiere of Big Shoot, written by Koffi Kwahulé and translated from the French by Chantal Bilodeau, opening at the Culture Project (45 Bleecker) on the 22 Jun 2006, following previews from the 7 Jun and running through to the 15 Jul 2006.

Written in 1999 after Kwahul's return from a visit to Rwanda, Big Shoot is a politically energizing play dealing with themes of torture, terrorism and power. It is a confrontation between two men -- an interrogator and his suspect -- and the complex relationship they build. The play comes to life as the interplay between the two men takes place. It is a game of power, humiliation and the meaningful issues aroused about our contemporary world.

The cast for Big Shoot, directed by Gabriella Maione, features Tom Brangle and Patrick Halliday.

The production has set design by Gabrielle Maione, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Justin Townsend and sound by Kenta Nagai.
