'Belly' at Juvie Hall on the 9 & 16 Apr 2005


On the Leesh Productions of Belly, a one woman show written by and starring Julie Tortorici, at Gene Frankel Theatre's Juvie Hall on the 9 & 16 Apr 2005.

Belly takes place one afternoon in the life of Frannie, a delightfully disarming, house bound, obsessive �compulsive housewife trotting about through her daily routine who is surprised to find an audience in her living room. Thrust into the role of hostess, Frannie takes her audience on a rollercoaster ride of memories, confessions, hand sanitizer, hostess cupcakes and friendship.

Julie Tortorici (writer/performer) as a performer her NY credits include 'Museum', 'Balm in Gilead', and 'Every Dog'. As a producer and director she has been involved with 'From the Minds of Babes', an evening of five original comedic one-acts. She was also seen in Atlantic Theater's children's production of 'The Phantom Tollbooth'. She recently finished a run of her new play, 'Committed', as well as her film short, 'Table for Three', (both produced by On the Leesh Productions). She is currently producing the improv group, Teen Movie High.

Alicia Arinella (director) has worked in various aspects of film and theatrical production. Alicia founded 'On the Leesh' Productions in 1999 with her documentary, 'Interval'.
