Beauty Of The Father - Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal join cast.
Manhattan Theatre Club have announced that Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal will join the cast of their upcoming off-Broadway production of Beauty Of The Father by Nilo Cruz and directed by Michael Greif.
Additional casting and the creative team will be announced at a later date.
Beauty Of The Fatheropens at NY City Center's Stage II on the 10 Jan 2006, following previews from the 15 Dec 2005 and running through to the 19 Feb 2006
In Beauty Of The Father a young woman travels to Spain to visit her estranged father and quickly becomes immersed in his vibrant, artistic world. But will a charming young Moroccan suitor stand in the way of their reconciliation? .
Oscar Isaac is currently starring as Proteus in the New York Shakespeare Festivalï¿½s current production of Two Gentleman of Verona at Central Parkï¿½s Delacorte Theatre. He recently graduated from The Juilliard Schoolï¿½s Drama Division where he played the role of Macbeth. Other Juilliard productions include American Occupation, The Marriage of Figaro, In The Blood, The Birds, The Odyssey, and Three Sisters. Prior to attending Juilliard, he appeared in When Itï¿½s Cocktail Time in Cuba at the Cherry Lane Theatre and Spinning into Butter at the Hangar Theatre.
Pedro Pascal received the LA Drama Critics Circle Award and Garland Award for his portrayal of Phillip in the International City Theater production of Orphans. He appeared in a production of Nilo Cruzï¿½s Anna and the Tropics at Portland Center Stage Other theatrical credits include: Lorenzaccio (Shakespeare Theater); Gizmo Love, Lobby Hero (WHAT); American Buffalo (American Voices); and Floating Weeds (Mark Taper Forum).
