August: Osage County, Brian Kerwin joins cast
Brian Kerwin joins the cast of Pulitzer Prize finalist Tracy Letts' comic-drama August: Osage County, opening at the Imperial Theatre on 20 Nov 2007, following previews from 30 Oct 2007, for a sixteen week limited engagement running through to 17 Feb 2008.
Kerwin appeared on Broadway in The Lincoln Center revival of 'The Little Foxes' (1997) and in the Manhattan Theatre Club's 'After the Night and the Music'(2005). On film, Kerwin has appeared in 'Torch Song Trilogy', 'Getting Away with Murder', 'Jack.' TV work includes 'The West Wing,' 'Beggars and Choosers,' and 'Without a Trace.'
August: Osage County: When their patriarch vanishes, the Weston clan must return to their three-story home in rural Oklahoma to get to the heart of the matter.
The drama recenty had its world premiere at Chicago's Steppenwolf, where it ran from 28 Jun - 26 Aug 2007, to critical acclaim. New York Times described the production as a �hugely entertaining�ripsnorter full of blistering, funny dialogue, acid-etched characterizations and scenes of no-holds-barred emotional combat.�
The ensemble from Steppenwolf will reprise their roles for the Broadway run: Ian Barford, Deanna Dunagan, Kimberly Guerrero, Francis Guinan, Dennis Letts, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, Rondi Reed and Troy West.
Anna D. Shapiro, will once again direct the production, which marks her Broadway debut.
The design team includes Todd Rosenthal (sets), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), Ann Wrightson (lights), Richard Woodbury (sound) and David Singer (original music).
August: Osage County is being produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Jean Doumanian, Steve Traxler and Jerry Frankel, in association with Steppenwolf Theatre Company
