Come to the cabaret, Ato! Tony Award nominee Ato Blankson-Wood joins the Broadway cast of Cabaret in the role of Cliff.

Blankson-Wood is known for his acclaimed performance in Slave Play on Broadway, which earned him his Tony nod. More recently, he played the title role in Hamlet at Shakespeare in the Park and starred opposite Bill Camp and Elizabeth Marvel in Long Day's Journey into Night.

In Cabaret, he will star opposite the previously announced Eddie Redmayne as the Emcee and Gayle Rankin as Sally Bowles. Additional casting has yet to be announced.

The latest revival of Cabaret, directed by Rebecca Frecknall, transforms the August Wilson Theatre into the Kit Kat Club for a semi-immersive experience. The show centers on how the performers and patrons of the club find their carefree lifestyle slowly overtaken by the rise of Nazism in Weimar-era Berlin.

Frecknall's production premiered in London in 2021, winning seven Olivier Awards, including Best Musical Revival and Best Actor in a Musical for Redmayne.
