Atlantic's cast of The Purple Lights of Joppa Illinois

The Atlantic Theater Company has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of The Purple Lights of Joppa Illinois, written and directed by Obie Award winner Adam Rapp, which will begins previews at Atlantic Stage 2 on 25 May 2016, before an official opening on 7 June and a limited engagement through to 19 June 2016.

The cast of The Purple Lights of Joppa Illinois includes William Apps (Ellis), Connor Barrett (Barrett), Susan Heyward (Monique) and Katherine Reis (Catherine).

Synopsis: "Ellis Shook lives alone in a small duplex apartment in Paducah, Kentucky. He works nights buffing floors, keeps to himself - and always remembers to take his medication. But when two teenage girls arrive at his doorstep one autumn afternoon, their visit will force him to confront a tragic past while also offering him a glimpse at hope."

The creative team behind The Purple Lights of Joppa Illinois has also been announced and features scenic design by Andromache Chalfant, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Keith Parham, and sound design by Christian Frederickson.
