Red Light District presents Ascension, by Edmund De Santis, opening at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre on 11 Oct 2006, following previews from 6 Oct and running through to 21 Oct 2006.

Red Light District presents Ascension is about an ambitious Catholic priest struggle to hold together the fabric of the world he has created to keep his desires at bay. He is confronted by the schizophrenic wife of a butcher, who accuses him of sexually abusing her son eight years earlier. Then drawn into a web of evil and deceit comes a visit by the angelic young man, himself; and now their worlds unfolds with a volcano of desire that is close to exploding.

Directed by Marc Geller, Ascension features Stephen Hope, Lucy McMichael and Brandon Ruckdashel.

Set design by Aaron Mastin and costumes by Dennis Ballard.
