Welcome back! Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose will host the 2024 Tony Awards ceremony, which will take place at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center on June 16.

In 2022, DeBose won the Oscar, BAFTA, Critics Choice, and SAG Awards for starring as Anita in the 2021 remake of West Side Story, directed by Steven Spielberg. She also starred in Broadway musicals such as Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (earning a Tony nomination for playing the title role) and Hamilton.

DeBose will host the Tonys, which annually celebrate the best of Broadway theatre, for the third year in a row. She first hosted in 2022, and in 2023, she hosted an entirely unscripted ceremony amid the Writers Guild of America strike.

"I couldn’t pass up the chance to host the Tonys one more time at Lincoln Center," DeBose said in a statement. "I’m excited to collaborate with the team to create an incredible celebration of this season’s achievements on Broadway for our community and for everyone at home."

The Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ from 8-11 p.m. As in the past two years, the main show will be preceded by The Tony Awards: Act One, a pre-show special airing on Pluto TV. A host for The Tony Awards: Act One has yet to be named.
