It has been officially confirmed that Emmy-winning actress and comedian Amy Schumer will make her Broadway debut in Tony nominee Steve Martin's new comedy Meteor Shower, directed by four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks, which will begin previews at the Booth Theatre on November 1, 2017, before an official opening on November 29 and a limited engagement through to January 21, 2018.

Ms. Schumer will take on the role of Corky and will be joined on stage by Tony winner Laura Benanti (as Laura), Emmy winner Keegan-Michael Key (as Gerald) and Broadway alum Alan Tudyk (as Norm).

Synopsis: "Meteor Shower takes place on a hot night in Ojai, California, when Corky and her husband Norm are having another couple over for dinner. Laura and Gerald, though, aren't looking for a casual evening of polite small talk with new friends. Eventually, the two couples find themselves in a marital free-fall matched in velocity and peril only by the smoldering space rocks tearing through the sky."

The creative team behind Meteor Shower features scenic design by Tony winner Beowulf Borritt, costume design by Tony winner Ann Roth, lighting design by six-time Tony winner Natasha Katz, and sound design by Fitz Patton.

Meteor Shower is produced on Broadway by Joey Parnes Productions.

Amy Schumer earned a Golden Globe nomination for "Trainwreck" in 2016 and won an Emmy Award for "Inside Amy Schumer" in 2015. She has received a total of 10 Emmy Award nominations over the course of her career. Her most notable screen credits include "Snatched," "Amy Schumer: The Leather Special," "Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo," "Amy Schumer: Mostly Sex Stuff," "Saturday Night Live," "Girls," "Delocated," and "Price Check."
